Section S137 Grants Procedure
Section 137 (S137) monies refer to a discretionary power under Section 137 of the Local Government Act 1972 allowing town, parish, and community councils to spend a limited amount of money on local projects.
The S137 Grants Procedure was approved and adopted in March 2019. However, as the Council adopted the General Power of Competence in May 2026, it supersedes this power and therefore it cannot be used for general community actions.
